Can I get a clear picture from a laptop through a video switch to an XGA projector? - using 2 projectors from one video out

I'm running 2 laptops and a DVD with a video switch with 2 LCD screens and an XGA projector. I connected the S-video cable (not VGA). When I connect my laptop LCD is clear, but the image projected by the XGA is very blurred. Note that, if I can run the laptop to the projector VGA, the picture is clear. Itselft The projector is, or is this an issue that can not be solved?
